He has trained professional athletes, college athletes, and high school athletes also. He has worked with a variety of clients, from women trying to lose weight and get in shape, to a number of guys looking to increase strength and cardiovascular endurance.

Matthew

-NCSF Certified Personal Trainer
-Bachelor in Exercise Science
-Training since 2021

Matt’s Bio

Since earning his personal training certificate in 2021, Matt’s philosophy has been that fitness is to be used to make a lifestyle change in how someone looks, feels, and thinks about themselves to improve their quality of life and overall health.

While being a personal trainer is great, it has its challenges. Exercise is not as straightforward as people may believe. It can be complicated. Matt enjoys developing workouts that will best suit his client’s body type and performance level to achieve their goals.

When it comes to great workouts, Matt believes High Intensity Interval Training or HIIT is the best form of cardio to get into shape. HIIT workouts burn the most fat in the least amount of time and make more improvement in muscular adaptations than other forms of cardio like running or biking.

Enjoying life and having active fun is important to Matt. “I love to play volleyball. I play club volleyball for the WIU Leathernecks and sand volleyball all summer.”
